John P. Kelley
John is a founding partner in the firm. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University (1963) and a law degree from the University of California Boalt Hall School of Law (1966). Mr. Kelley is a Certified Specialist in Probate, Estate Planning, and Trust Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He regularly lectures and teaches on the subject of estate planning and is active in civic affairs in Marin County. Kelley resume

Carolyn M. Farren
Carolyn is a partner in the firm. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC Berkeley (1966) and a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (1969). Ms. Farren is also a Certified Specialist in Probate, Estate Planning, and Trust Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and has authored numerous books in the field. She has served on the Board of Directors and advisory boards to Hospice of Marin and Audubon Canyon Ranch for many years. Farren resume

Elizabeth R. Arnold
Elizabeth is an associate in the firm. She has a BA from Smith College (1965), a Master of Arts from Middlebury College (1966) and a law degree from the University of California Boalt Hall School of Law (1975). Ms. Arnold has practiced law in Alaska and in California and has concentrated in Estate Planning since 1992. She is also fluent in French and speaks Spanish as well. Arnold resume

Jane Grant Kerr
Jane is an associate in the firm. She has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania (1970) and a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (1974). Ms. Kerr has concentrated in Estate Planning since 1992. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in both the public and private sectors of the law, including Contra Costa Legal Services Foundation. Christine E. Hoburg
Christine is an associate in the firm. She has a B.S. in Business Administration from Sonoma State University (2000) and a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (2003), with a Tax Concentration. She was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the California Board of Accountancy in 2005. Prior to joining Kelley & Farren in 2005, Ms. Hoburg worked for Deloitte Tax, LLP, preparing corporate, partnership, trust, individual, estate and gift tax returns. Randall B. Schmidt
Randall is an associate in the firm. He has a BS from Golden Gate University (1990) and a law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law (1997). He is also pursuing an MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University and has passed the CPA examination.
