Continuity For Clients
Long-time Kelley & Farren attorneys Elizabeth Arnold and Jane Kerr retired in August 2013. While the office will not be the same without them, Kelley & Farren will continue to provide personalized legal services to clients who have previously worked with Liz and Jane. If you have worked with Liz or Jane in the past, you are welcome to contact our office (415-925-5200) to be introduced to another attorney at the firm.
All of us at Kelley & Farren are proud to offer our clients lasting relationships into the future. The firm's current partners, Christine Hoburg, Lisa Fialco and Colin Kelley, collectively have over seventeen years experience serving clients at Kelley & Farren and training with the firm's more senior attorneys. Carolyn M. Farren, a founding partner, represents and advises clients as of counsel to the firm.
John Kelley, Kelley & Farren's other founding partner, died of lymphoma on September 24, 2011. Kelley & Farren values the relationships John developed with his clients and the firm will continue his tradition of providing outstanding legal services.

On January 2, 2013, President Obama signed legislation establishing new federal estate tax, gift tax, and generation skipping transfer (GST) tax exemption amounts and setting new estate and gift tax rates. For 2013, estate, gift, and GST exemption amounts are $5,250,000 per person (the exemption amounts will be adjusted for inflation each year). Our legal update section of this website has more detailed information about the new tax rules.
Contact Kelley & Farren if you have any questions on the application of current estate tax laws to your own estate plan.
